Integration
Integeration with Kearfott’s High Grade INS has completed with success. The overall distance travelled accuracy was below 0.1% using our Rowe Tech Dual Frequency 600khz/1200khz ADCP/DVL and Kearfott’s High Grade INS.
More details on how to configure the ADCP for the Kearfott system can be here:

Testing
Testing was done in Mission Bay in very shallow water, about 2m-3m deep. This would ensure there would be drop outs from our ADCP when the depths got to shallow.
The ADCP was installed with the primary beams at a 45 degree clockwise offset of Beam 0.
Since all our ADCPs can also be used as a DVL, it was very easy to use our dual frequency ADCP. The ADCP was setup for RS-422 with the wiring matching there pinout for serial communication. The ADCP was then configured based off there setup.
The calibration run lasted about 1.5 hours. We then 2 test runs, each lasting over 2000m in distance.
Overall a great success for Rowe Technologies and our ADCP/DVL and for Kearfott and there INS.
Next integration starts in October with ixBlue.
